The festival will open on 12th of August as we light the ceremonial lamp to begin our festival with warmth, positivity, and light. Following a cordial welcome message from our festival director, Mitu Bhowmick Lange and our celebrated guests, we will kick-start the festival by screening our groundbreaking thriller film, Dobaaraa.
Dobaaraa, directed by the master-filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, is a time and mind-bending film where a women gets to save the life of a 12-year old boy who witnessed a death during a thunderstorm which happened 25 years ago, by getting connected through the television set during a similar storm in the present. Starring Taapsee Pannu and Pawail Gulati in lead roles, this movie will open our celebrated festival.
That’s not all! The brilliant minds behind the film: Anurag Kashyap, Taapsee Pannu, and producer, Sunir Kheterpal will be joining us at the screening! They will be hosting a robust Q&A session so make sure you attend!
