Dharma Productions, Cape of Good Films, and Leo Media Collective have released the Dialogue Promo for Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh. Starring Akshay Kumar, Ananya Panday, and R. Madhavan, the historical drama delves into the gripping courtroom battle that unfolded in the aftermath of the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, Kesari Chapter 2 chronicles the courageous fight led by C. Sankaran Nair, a determined lawyer who dared to take on the British Empire in the courtroom.
Based on the book The Case that Shook the Empire: One Man’s Fight for the Truth about the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre by Raghu and Pushpa Palat, the film explores Nair’s legal battle against Sir Michael O’Dwyer, the former lieutenant governor of Punjab and one of the key figures behind the massacre. Akshay Kumar steps into the role of Nair, while R. Madhavan plays his formidable opponent in court. Ananya Panday also stars as a fellow lawyer, adding further depth to the riveting narrative.
The trailer has received strong praise, largely due to its powerful and impactful dialogues. Kesari Chapter 2 tells the bold story of lawyer C. Sankaran Nair, who dares to challenge the British Empire in court following the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Produced under the banner of Dharma Productions, Cape of Good Films, and Leo Media Collective, distributed internationally by Moviegoers Entertainment, Kesari Chapter 2 is slated to release in theatres worldwide on 18th April 2025.
