Gulabo Sitabo: Not a colloquial Lucknowi term but a worldwide name today as it releases universally in more than 200 sub-titles.
Festival Director, Mitu Bhowmick Lange, of more than a decade running Indian Film Festival of Melbourne(IFFM) started IFFM Club to connect the love for cinema with its fan worldwide. It’s very first session was with the coveted Movie Gulabo Sitabo’s director- Shoojit Sircar, Producer – Ronnie Lahiri, moderated by the impressively eloquent Rajeev Masand.
BYSQ Itz Showtime, editor in chief-Dheepa Awtani were invited to be a part of this pioneering session of IFFM Club and we are excited to share the entire tete-te-tete with you all. We spoke about the different marketing strategies used for the promotions, do we miss the Friday blockbuster release and how much Ayushmann Khurana, aka Baankey Rastogi, enjoyed working with the our favorite Big B, though it was all consuming at times for him given his magnanimous aura aka Mirza!
